In the installation 'Pneumatic Sound Field' a horizontal plane of pneumatic valves is used to produce wind, pressure and sound, thus creating a continuum between rhythmical perception of sound, spatial perception of sound and the perception of pitch.

This is a binaural recording meant to be listened to on (excellent) headphones only.

Recorded during the Donaueschinger Musiktage 2012. 'Pneumatic Sound Field' was developed by Edwin van der Heide during a project residency at tesla-berlin e.v. More on Edwin's work here.

This is the fifth in the ALKU series of acoustic recordings.
